I actually look forward to my daily mail! - I never know what packages are arriving!
Today, I received another Sicilian Cookbook (my latest Culinary Interest)....and a package from Canada! My Canadian purchase was for instruments in making Homemade Wine!
Recently, at a local Farmer's Market, I came across an elderly Gentleman who sold me 6 lbs of Blueberries. He had many Jellies/Jams on his table and talked to me about Watermelon Wine Jelly. He gave me a "sample" and it truly was DELICIOUS!....and then, he gave me another sample of his WINE!... ohhh, it was to die for! After spending a wonderful time visiting with him, his wife & sister-in-law, he decided to share his recipe for Watermelon Wine Jelly with me! I felt TRULY fortunate!
One of my favorite Passions in life is Cooking & Collecting hard-to-find recipes.

My Sicilian Cookbook that came today... tells a lot of Family stories & about real Sicilian Lives.... along with Authentic-style Recipes from the "Old Country". It's been my recent desire to learn how to make REAL Sicilian Tomato Sauce and "can" it in several jars - so I can enjoy Authentic Sicilian dishes throughout the Fall & Winter months.
Meanwhile... I started learning how to speak Italian!
